Loss of appetite is simply a sign of an illness or condition. For example: Nervousness, lack of sleep, Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy, Fever, Diarrhea, Tuberculosis, Flu and other debilitating diseases. Sometimes taking anti-microbial drugs can cause anorexia. The cause must be identified and treated. For persistent loss of appetite, a doctor should be consulted.
